Lalmonirhat is a district located in the northern part of Bangladesh. It is bordered by the Indian state of West Bengal to the north, Kurigram and Rangpur districts to the east, Nilphamari and Rangpur districts to the south, and the Indian state of Assam to the west. The district is named after its headquarters, Lalmonirhat town.
