Jessore District

 


Jessore is a district located in the southwestern region of Bangladesh. It is a part of the Khulna Division and is bordered by the districts of Narail to the east, Khulna to the west, Jhenaidah to the north, and Satkhira to the south.


The district covers an area of 2578.57 square kilometers and has a population of over 2.5 million people. The main language spoken in the district is Bengali, and the majority of the population is Muslim.
